Experience

Each program will have a Faculty Champion who is dedicated to students’ preparation for their co-op job responsibilities, who will guide students to find appropriate placement in positions that align with their career goals and will ensure that the intended learning experience and objectives are met.
In the first two years of the Warriors at Work program, students will engage in activities that will help them to develop the skills and relationships to succeed. From First Year Seminar to 鈥渇irst summer鈥 employment, mentoring opportunities with upper class students and young alumni, service learning and civic engagement opportunities, faculty led research projects and internships, trips to visit and explore industry facilities and work environments – students will be prepared when they begin working in their co-op experience.
Students should plan for their co-op experiences during the Fall or Spring Semesters of their Junior year or Fall of their Senior Year. Typical calendar placements will schedule a position from July – December or January – June. During this academic year, students will enroll in winter and summer courses to stay 鈥渙n track鈥 to graduate in a four year time period.
